Pauly Shore and Brother Peter had a Legal Conflict
In December 2009, Pauly filed a lawsuit against Peter, claiming that Peter had wrongfully removed him from the board of the family business and citing possible elder abuse of their ailing mother, Mitzi Shore.
Pauly claims that because of his mother Mitzi Shore’s Parkinson’s disease, she is “rendered susceptible to unscrupulous behaviour and other undue influence,” according to court documents.
Pauly claimed that Peter “took unfair advantage of his filial relationship with Mrs. Shore and her mental capacity to coerce Mrs. Shore into removing (Pauly) from the company’s board of directors” when their mother’s health began to decline.
The only directors of The Comedy Store in Los Angeles were Pauly, Peter, and Mitzi Shore. Peter Shore served as the CEO and oversaw day-to-day operations.
