Despite the recent news that Jermaine Jeras was dismissed for sending improper text messages that caused problems, 14-year host of The One Show Alex Jones has made it clear that she is not leaving.
“I can’t even believe I’m still there,” Alex said to Bella magazine regarding her participation on the show before the controversy. I enter, complete my work, and pray that no one sees that I’m still there. I adore it so much. What would you like to do next is a frequently asked question. Would you not like to put on a major entertainment event? ‘What do you mean?’ I ask. I’m overjoyed.
Alex expressed her overwhelmed state while trying to manage her time among hosting the show and spending time with her kids. Well, it is nice to notice that she makes up for it by giving them lots of embraces and affection.
Alex Thomson married insurance trader Charlie Thomson on New Year’s Eve 2015 in the stone-vaulted 15th-century undercroft of Cardiff Castle. Alex met Charlie at a party in 2011. Her three children are Annie, age 2, who is already modelling her mother, Kit, age 5, and Teddy, age 6.
On Elizabeth Day’s podcast, How to Fail, Alex discussed her husband’s health issues, both physical and mental. She said, “I won’t go into detail because it’s my husband’s own story to tell, but we’ve just been through a really bad period where he had Lyme Disease and then he had viral meningitis.”
“A lot of things happened recently,” she continued. Charlie is a lot of fun, but he started to fade away. He was so sick that his mental state rapidly deteriorated. Once more, I was clueless and thought, “Oh my God, I have no idea what to do in this situation.”
