Notable personalities such as Rick Rosen, Haim Saban, Micael Rotenberg, Sherry Lansing, Debra Messing, and others signed the letter cancelling their nomination to the Emmys, specifically the NATAS (The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences).

The letter swiftly gained widespread attention online, with thousands of people criticising CCFP’s actions against Bisan Owda and endorsing her efforts during the Israel-Hamas conflict.
However, in response to the letter, NATAS CEO Adam Sharp stated that there is no proof that Owda was involved in the PFLP, hence there is no justification for withdrawing her nomination.
“The content submitted for award consideration was consistent with both NATAS policies and competition rules,” he stated. Therefore, NATAS has not discovered any justification for overturning the independent journalists’ editorial assessment of the information.
