Dr. Plasencia has a well-established medical career, but he is currently facing significant legal obstacles. In conjunction with the inquiry into Matthew Perry’s death, he was charged on August 15 with one crime of conspiracy to distribute ket*mine, seven charges of ket*mine distribution, and two counts of fabricating records.
“I wonder how much this moron will pay,” one message purportedly said, and it was followed by “Let’s find out.”
When announcing the charges, U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada claimed that the defendants exploited Perry’s addiction problems to their advantage.
