Born in Rome, Francesca Carocci, 28, is a theatrical actor and ballet dancer who started her career at the age of five.
She started studying ballet in 1978 at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, where Maestro Walter Zappolini was her teacher. She completed her studies there in 1986.

She Learnt Ballet, and other dance forms from renowned instructors Gino Tani and Alberto Testa. Vittoria Ottolenghi was her dance analysis instructor as well.
Over the course of eight years, Francesca Carocci received instruction in modern dance, she participated in the institution’s opera and ballet shows during this time.
Following her graduation, Francesca relocated to New York, where she was accepted on scholarship to study under Peter Martins’ artistic direction at The School of American Ballet from 1986 to 1989.
Francesca Carocci gave numerous performances while she was a student, dancing in many of George Balanchine’s pieces with the New York City Ballet and on tours throughout the world.

Francesca Carocci is an Italian ballet teacher with certification in both classical and academic ballet, recognized by the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Capitale.
Two of the most well-known ballet dancers in Italy, Laura Comi and Eleonora Abbagnato, were the instructors who gave her her teaching certification.
In addition to her work as a choreographer, Francesca was the Artistic Director of the “New Dance Project” in Rome. There, she oversaw a Nutcracker production at the Teatro San Raffaele in 2012.
Francesca Carocci has also directed multiple recitals and end-of-year shows for different dance schools, which have been presented in Rome’s Parioli Theatre and Quirino Theater.

Her symptoms persisted, but the ER doctors just wrote a prescription for painkillers before releasing her.
Sadly, Francesca passed away after a heart attack brought on by complications from an undetected cardiac ailment just two days later.
