“I think sometimes we put on weight and we try to protect ourselves… weight can be kind of like a protection of ‘don’t look at me and I’m safe in here.’”

She also explained on the emotive aspects of weight gain, uttering,

“It’s also just a different kind of… you don’t want to do alcohol, you don’t want to do drugs, you don’t want to have mental problems, so I think food is also like a comforting thing.”
