Following a staged terrible accident, fans of Gqeberha, The Empire is left wondering if Thulani and Anathi survived.
One of the most important things that Nozuko obtained was a voice clip in which Anathi declares her love for Thulani. This time, Luzuko believed her as she hurried to him. Nozuko encouraged Luzuko to take severe measures after he felt betrayed. He tied up his fourth wife, Anathi, and threw them both overboard after viciously beating Thulani. He then lit their boat on fire to create the illusion of a sad accident.
Even though their corpses haven’t been located since the explosion, Luzuko hosted a memorial service for them later. Although fans are still in shock and holding out hope that Thulani and Anathi survived, their optimism is dwindling with every new episode.
Thulani and Anathi’s Departure from Gqeberha the Empire
In Gqeberha: The Empire, Akhenime Mfenyana portrays Anathi Mxenge, and Tembinkosi Lita Ngcukana plays Thulani Mxenge. They seem to prefer keeping their personal life private for security reasons, therefore information about them is not publicly available.
Although they play important parts in the show, they don’t make much of an appearance off-screen. The South African TV show Gqeberha: The Empire took The Queen’s position on Mzansi Magic.
